P.E. P.E.is on a Tuesday morning. It is best for children to bring their PE kits in on a Monday and leave them in school until Friday because on the odd occasion PE can change days.
Reading at home. The children are required to take their home reading books and reading records home every day and bring them back every day. Children should aim to read their home reading books to an adult at home every night. Children can change their home reading books any morning before the register.
Spellings. The children receive spellings at the beginning of the week and write them in their home spelling books. The children should take their spelling books home every day and bring them back to school every day. Spelling sessions are done daily with the children but practise does help in order for the children to achieve accurate spellings in the spelling test on a Friday. Children getting all their spellings correct receive a smiley face on the spelling competition chart.
Maths Homework. Maths homework for Miss Hunt’s maths class is set on a Monday on a regular basis and has to be handed in on the Friday after, or any time before. Times tables tests are often carried out on a Friday, so practising the times tables as often as possible helps! By the end of Year 3 the children should be aiming to know their 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables.
Fruit. In KS2 fruit is no longer free. Fruit is sold at morning break for 20p most days so if children wish to have fruit they are required to bring money and look after it themselves in a purse or bag.
Milk. Milk is now ordered and paid for online.
